Section 9.36 of the National Building Code details energy efficiency requirements for housing and small buildings. It is concerned with the energy used by buildings as a result of the design and construction of the building envelope, and the design and construction or specification of systems and equipment for heating, ventilating or air-conditioning, and service water heating. The Code includes three options for compliance: Prescriptive, Trade-Off, and Performance Compliance.
This portion of the BCAS Portal will be updated with ongoing 9.36-related resources, including training sessions.
